Rental assistance for the mentally ill.

The Austin HRA was part of a Bridges Application for Southeastern Minnesota.   Because of this we have been awarded 5 slots for the Bridges Program. 

Bridges is a rental assistance program for people that have serious and persistent mental illness.  It can supply people with rental assistance until they come up on our waiting list for the Housing Choice Voucher Program.

We will have applications for this program in our office.  The requirements are the same as for participation in the Housing Choice Voucher program, as the Bridges applicant must be able to transfer to the other program.
